What are the boundaries of the Hollywood Little League?
Here's a detailed map. If you find you're outside the league, see the list of
neighboring leagues at the bottom below the map.
When is registration?

What do I need to bring to registration?
Parents/guardians of new players must bring these documents to registration:
1. original birth certificate
2. proof of address
3. completed registration form
4. completed medical form
5. payment
Returning players just complete the registration form and medical form and mail
with payment.
At what ages do the levels play?
"League Ages" 5 - 7: Boys & Girls play T-Ball
"League Ages" 7 - 8: Girls play Farm Softball or Baseball. Boys play Farm

"League Ages" 9 -10: Girls play Minors Softball or Baseball. Boys play Minors

"League Ages" 11 - 12: Girls play Majors Softball. Boys play Majors Baseball
"League Ages" 13 -15: Girls play Junior Softball, Boys play Junior Baseball (age
13-14)
What is "League Age"?
The league age determines the division in which your child is eligible to play.
League age is the age of the player on April 30, 2008. If your child turns five
on April 30, 2008 or before that date, he or she is eligible to start little

How much does it cost?
$65 for T-ball
$85 for baseball and softball
[ ! ] Families with more than one child in the league receive a discount:
$5 discount for second child
$55 discount for third child

What do the fees pay for?
Permits, insurance, T-shirt (T-ball) or jersey, caps, socks (except for
tee-ball) and equipment
How are uniforms handled?
Uniforms are kept by the player at the end of the year. The league provides
everything but pants. Pants are not needed for T-ball. Baseball and softball
players will be responsible for buying “Solid Gray” baseball pants prior to
first scheduled games. With a coupon issued by the league, pants will be
available at a minimal cost (less than $10) at Gateway Pro-Am (NE 103rd &
Halsey). These pants will have an elastic waist band with draw string, thus no
belt is needed. Players may also elect to buy solid gray baseball pants
elsewhere, but be sure to purchase a belt if the pants require one!
When do practices start?
March 8, 2008
When are the games played?
Baseball and softball games are on evenings and weekends starting in April
through June. T-ball games are on Saturday mornings with the season ending May
31 (skipping Memorial Day weekend).
Where are the games played?
Home fields are Fernwood and Grant Bowl. Hollywood Little League field addresses
and maps
Can I get my child on his/her friend's team?
For softball and minor and major baseball, players will be placed on teams to
result in a fair and equal balance of abilities and ages on each team, rather
than with a focus on special requests for a coach or teammate.
For T-ball and farm baseball you may request a specific coach, another player to
be teamed with, and list preferences for practice day below - your request will
be honored as long as team sizes remain safe.
Does my child have to try out to play?
T-ball, Farm Baseball, and Softball players do not attend skills evaluations.
Baseball players age 9-16 must attend skills evaluations. They are for
evaluation and placement only. All players will be drafted to a team
How do I volunteer?
There are several opportunities for volunteering. In addition to team positions
of coach, manager, and assistant coaches, parents can commit to one 2-hour
project which may include field maintenance, mowing of the fields or concessions
at tournaments. Coaches and managers must complete and submit the
Volunteer Form
with a copy of their driver's license every year. Volunteer forms can be mailed

What is the "player pool"?
For Majors and Minors Baseball players. If a regular season team is short
players for a scheduled game or tournament, the team may draw extra players from
the pool. If your child is interested in playing extra baseball during the 2008
season they are strongly encouraged to sign up for the Player Pool.
